Connect your Google Business Profile
Google's public information shows what customers see. Connecting the Google account that manages your business adds owner-authorized data: the locations you manage, changes Google applied to your profile and whether your edits go live.
- Read-only: the Location Check contains no function that changes your profile.
- We read only the locations this Google account manages: name, address, phone numbers, website, opening hours, categories and status.
- Access ends after one hour at the latest. Disconnecting revokes it immediately.

How it works
From website facts to a verified comparison
-
Website check
We read your homepage, contact page and a location page, extract name, address, phone, opening hours and structured data, and check them against each other.
-
Google comparison
We look your business up in Google's public business information and compare it field by field with your website. If several listings could be yours, you choose. Connect your Business Profile for owner-authorized data.
-
Report
Every finding comes with its evidence and a concrete next step — on screen, and by e-mail if you want it.
What the check covers
Deterministic rules, not guesswork
Every finding is produced by explicit comparison rules and shows the values it is based on. Where a comparison is uncertain, it is marked for review instead of reported as an error.
- Name, address, phone and opening hours — normalized, so “Straße” versus “Str.” or “+43 (0)1” versus “01” is not reported as a conflict.
- Google's public business information (Google Maps): name, address, phone, opening hours, website link and status — compared only when we can match your business with confidence.
- Structured data (LocalBusiness and Organization, JSON-LD and microdata) compared with what visitors see.
- Indexability: noindex directives, robots.txt rules and canonical tags that hide your business information from search engines.
- Contact and location pages, Google Maps links and HTTPS.
What it doesn't do: No rankings, keyword positions or review analysis, no scoring for its own sake, and no changes to your website or Business Profile.
Questions
About the Location Check
How the check works, which data it uses and how long it is kept.
Is the Location Check free?
Yes. The website check, the comparison with Google's public information and the Business Profile comparison are free and need no account. You only enter an e-mail address if you want the report sent to you.
What happens to the website I submit?
We fetch up to four public pages of that website, extract the business information and look the business up in Google's public business information. We keep the result — not the pages — for 24 hours, so you can connect your Business Profile or request the report. After that it is deleted automatically, or immediately when you choose “Delete this check now”.
Where does the Google information come from?
From Google's public business information, through the Google Maps Platform (Places API). The business name and location you enter help us find the listing, but they never confirm it on their own: we compare only when your website's own name, web address, phone number or address support the match; if several listings could be yours, you choose the location to check. Google's values are shown during your check but not stored — only Google's listing ID and our comparison results are kept with your check.
Why connect my Business Profile?
Google's public information shows what customers see. With access to your Business Profile we can also read the locations you manage, see changes Google applied to your profile and whether your edits go live — and compare each location with your website.
Which Google data do you access, and can you change my profile?
We read the Business Profile locations your Google account manages: name, address, phone numbers, website, opening hours, special hours, categories and status. Google offers no read-only permission for Business Profile, so its consent screen describes general management access. The Location Check uses it only to read; it contains no function that changes your profile.
How long do you keep Google data?
Google access ends after one hour at the latest, and we receive no long-term refresh token. The compared profile details are stored with your check for up to 24 hours. Disconnecting revokes access and removes the Google data immediately.
We manage many locations. Does this work for us?
Yes. When you connect Google, we count the locations your account manages and compare one of them with your website. For a comparison across your whole network, request a Network Audit.
Multi-location
Checking a whole location network?
MapsExperts manages location data for multi-location businesses across Google and the wider search, maps and AI ecosystem — with the platform, the data operations and the people to keep it accurate.
